Fall has arrived! These cool days are a great time to start an exercise program for you and your dog. Remember to start slow and build your dog’s stamina.
Bringing plants in for the winter? Many plants are toxic to our pets. Lists of toxic plants are available online. Place your plants where they will be safe from your pets.
Seasonal allergy aggrevations are a problem during fall. Decaying plants and leaves cause mold that can trigger reactions in sensitive pets. Watch your pet closely for the signs of allergy flare-ups.
Trick or Treat, but don’t let the goodies where your pet can reach them. Chocolates and other sweets can cause serious health issues in most animals.
As the weather takes on a chill, fleas will start looking for a nice warm winter home. This time of the year can be the worst for flea problems. We recommend using flea and tick control products until we have had several hard frosts.
Planning a winter get away? All kennels require their guests to be up to date on vaccinations, including the Bordetella Vaccine for dogs. To best protect your pet, vaccinations should be brought up to date at least a week before they go to the kennel.
Enjoy this beautiful time of the year!
